From one of our 2007 Scholarship Recipents
I recieved a scholarship from your organization last year and I wanted
to write to you guys to let you know how I'm doing! I'm just about done
with my 2nd quarter of my 2nd year at OSU and am very excited about where
my major in Nutrition in Industry seems to be taking me! This quarter
I finally started taking actual nutrition classes and I find it very
beneficial. One such course is Food Safety and Sanitation, and this week,
actually, I will be taking the ServSafe certification exam which is pretty
exciting! Also, just this quarter I found myself a job in a restaurant
on campus called Courtside Cafe! I am working in the kitchen, helping
prepare food and I really discovered how much I enjoy working in the
restaurant industry. Hopefully my opinion won't change and that's where
my career will lead me, but for now that's looking pretty good for me!
I actually have to get ready for work now, so I have go.

Our scholarship program will also certify MVRA members
and their staff in
ServSafe, the industry standard for food safety training, TIPS-Training
for Intervention Procedures in dealing with the sales and service
of alcohol and other educational programs that will continue to
educate our workforce in the
