June's Recipe Compliments of Chef Dominique of C'est Tout

Vichyssoise of Asparagus

2lbs of Asparagus
½ Onion chopped
3 Leeks finely chopped
2 Large potatoes, peeled, washed, and coarsely chopped
2 Quarts chicken stock
½ Cup heavy cream
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon chopped chives

Melt butter, add onions, asparagus, and leeks, cook slowly for about 10 minutes, add chicken stock and cream, let simmer for 10 minutes. At this point prepare the potatoes, add to soup and cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft. Puree in a blender.

Can be served hot or refrigerate to serve cold. Garnish with chives.

The 2nd Annual Amazing at The Greene is June 19th, 2010

Congratulations to team: Racing Stripes, Amanda McInturff and Jennifer Seaman for winning the 2nd Annual Amazing Race at The Greene. They a won " A night on The Greene" valued at over $700. 2nd Place, Wii Be Fit, Brian Berschback and Casey Brown each won "Subs for a Year from Milano's" valued at over $ 680.
